Apricots in Vietnam are one of the popular fruits due to their high nutrient content, containing antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. In folklore, the most commonly used apricot is soaked with sugar to make a refreshing drink. In addition, apricots are also soaked with alcohol to create a sweet, fragrant apricot-scented wine with a beautiful amber-yellow color, which is apricot wine. Due to their natural characteristics, apricots are grown mainly in the North of our country, depending on the soil conditions of each region, each region has its own characteristics.

Apricots are grown a lot in the Northwest, most of the fresh apricots sold in the market are apricots grown in the Northwest. Peach apricot is large, peach-like, large in size, and the seeds are easily separated from the flesh. Northwest apricots are yellow to orange in color, often red on the side exposed to sunlight, and have smooth hairy surfaces. The flesh of the fruit has a sweet and sour taste. The Northwest apricot season is very short, lasting from mid-March to early May of the solar calendar.

Thanks to the special soil of the limestone mountains, Huong Pagoda apricot is famous throughout the North because of its large fruit, small seeds, thick and succulent pulp, mild sour taste, bar but not harsh.


Apricots here are distinguished into two types, apricots that grow in the middle of the valley, have a slightly bitter taste, and apricots that grow on the mountainside are wrong, small in size, firm and crispy.. Apricots are a precious gift. of Huong Son, often used to make soft drinks and processed into apricot wine. Huong Tich apricot wine has a sweet taste, fragrant apricot aroma and has a very beautiful yellow color. Previously, Perfume Pagoda was famous for a Huong Tich apricot forest with hundreds of years old apricot trees that harvested tons of quality fruit. Today, the area of ​​​​apricot cultivation is shrinking, so only a few Huong Tich apricot trees are found scattered on the mountainside of the valleys located to the south of Huong Tich in the territory of Yen Vi village and a few distributed in the valleys.
